Russians in America: The Third Wave

Iuz Aleshkovsky / Юз Алешковский

1929-

Aleshkovsky has his own web site in Russian. He leaves Russia in 1979. Considered by many to be one of the most significant talents of the Third Wave, but perceived by others to be "understudied." His works were published by Ardis, Russica, and Chalidze. He was a contributor to the periodical press, but his explicit language made many wary of publishing him. His novels have been translated into English. He is perhaps most notorious for his "Song of Comrade Stalin."
