As of January 1, 2003, Ilsley Public Library is a member of the Cooperating Collections network of the Foundation Center. We join the state library in Montpelier as the only centers in Vermont to host this collection. This service was established through the collaborative efforts of Ilsley Public Library, the Addison County United Way, and the Vermont Community Foundation. We make this collection availabele to serve the needs of the nonprofit organizations and the people they serve in our community. | |
What is the Foundation Center? The Foundation Center supports and
improves institutional philanthropy by promoting public understanding
of the field and helping grantseekers succeed. The Center collects,
organizes, and communicates information on U.S. philanthropy;
conducts and facilitates research on trends in the field; provides
education and training; and ensures public access to information
and services through its Web site (www.fdncenter.org), print and
electronic publications, five library/learning centers, and a
national network of over 200 cooperating collections. Founded
in 1956, the Center is the nation’s leading authority on
institutional philanthropy and is dedicated to serving grantseekers,
grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the general
public. What is a Cooperating Collection Center? Cooperating Collections are free funding information centers in libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit resource centers that provide a core collection (see below) of Foundation Center publications and a variety of supplementary materials and services in areas useful to grantseekers. -from the Foundation Center Resources available at the Foundation Center Collection at Ilsley Public Library Electronic Resources: Foundation Directory: The Foundation Center's Online Database Print Resources: Board Members Book The Foundation Directory Foundation Directory Part 2 Foundation Directory Supplement Foundation Grants to Individuals The Foundation 1000 Guide to U.S. Foundations, Their Trustees, Officers, and Donors The National Directory of Corporate Giving, 9th Edition National Guide to Funding for AIDS/AIDS Funding National Guide to Funding for Libraries and Information Services National Guide to Funding in Health National Guide to Funding in Religion Foundations Today Series: Foundation Giving Trends Foundation Growth and Giving Estimates Foundation Yearbook Foundation Staffing Foundation Reporting |
