The library is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees who are elected at Town Meeting. The duties of the trustees are enumerated in the Vermont Statutes Annotated and include setting library policy, overseeing long-range planning, establishing a budget, and promoting library use.
The trustees meet on the third Tuesday of each month in the Jessica Swift Community Meeting Room of the library at 6:30 pm. The public is welcome to attend all meetings.
Members of the Board of Trustees for 2011-2012 are:

- Sandra Carletti. Term ends March, 2013
- Maria Graham. Term ends March, 2016
- Rebekah Irwin. Term ends March, 2017
- Christopher Watters. Term ends March, 2015
