The Campus Compacts of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont are pleased to announce a new collaboration: Students Engaged in Redefining a Vision for Education in Northern New England (SERVE NNE) Program. SERVE NNE is the combination of SERVE NH/ME and Vermont's Student Service Leadership Program, offered by your state Campus Compact in the past, and now being offered on a tri-state basis headquartered here at Vermont Campus Compact.

SERVE NNE is an AmeriCorps Education Award only Program (EAP) that gives Segal Education Awards to students performing community service. This program offers several benefits to the campus, community, and students. By encouraging students to commit to serving their community, SERVE NNE will:

  • Develop the leadership and civic skills of students.
  • Help students pay for school.
  • Increase capacity of the campus to partner with the community
  • Bring campus resources to bear on critical locally identified needs
  • Increase the capacity of non-profit organizations to meet the needs of the community.

If you would like to offer this opportunity to students on your campus, please complete the Host Site Application and return it to me via email no later than September 14th. Please note that all site supervisors will be required to attend a training to learn what is new about the program this year (attendance will not be required in subsequent years).

If you have any questions about the application process, please do not hesitate to contact John Coutley.
