The
AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) program helps
non-profits organizations and institutions of higher education build
capacity for the purpose of bringing individuals and communities
out of poverty. In the past 40 years, over 177,000 people have served
as VISTA volunteers.
