a: Netting done prior to 1993 was done in slightly different locations with different effort and is not comparable to 1993 or later; therefore, these data are not included. b: The two woodcock caught in 2000 were not banded because we did not have the correct band size, but they are recorded here because we could otherwise have banded them. c: Includes only those days in which at least one bird was banded. d: 1993-1998: (days netted) x (average hours per day) x (average number of nets run); from 2000: direct count of net-hour-days. e: (total birds banded) / (total net effort). f: Banding during this year was carried out by a different person (my sabbatical replacement); therefore, the results for 1994 may or may not be comparable to other years due to differences in technique and experience. g: (total birds banded minus WTSPs banded) / (total net effort).
