CHAMBERLAIN NOTES A few years ago the Brandon Free Public Library was bequeathed many books and index cards which were notes that Lawrence Chamberlain had gathered during many years of research. He had been researching the Brandon area for background information on a book he had hoped to write, but he passed away before writing his book. I have been working on scanning the notes so they can be put on CD and distributed to other research libraries in the state. With the hope of getting the information out to as many people as possible I also decided to put the index to the scans on my website, so anyone can access them. The notes contain land records, newspaper articles, bible records, journals and many other items. I have only indexed the primary name that was written in the upper right hand corner on the notebook pages, other names are included besides the name indexed. I have linked all the A’s to pages I have uploaded. Unfortunately I have run out of space on my server and can’t link any more pages until I increase space or make other arrangements. Please email me if you would like copies of any of the pages listed in the index. I only ask that you keep your requests reasonable so I can get them out to as many as possible.
VERMONT CHRONICLE INDEXES Index to names published in the marriage and death notices in the Vermont Chronicle newspaper from 1826 to 1882. Also included are the names of the Goshen, VT original grantors and Goshen, VT vital records. Indexes are searchable through the information bar or can be viewed alphabetically by year through the link provided. Copies of the original notices are available.
