The Straw/Burns family bible is currently in the possession of Jeanne A. Norwood. The bible was handed down to her by our father, William Albert Burns, who got it from his father, Ira Asa Burns, who got it from his mother, Ambrosia (Straw) Burns.

I have spelled the names and such as they are written in the bible. Any words I was not sure about I inserted a ? and noted what I thought it might be in parenthesis. To the right of the passages I have noted what medium it was written in - ink or lead. If there is no notation, it is the last medium listed.

There are also several pressed flowers and leaves in the book, a scrap of fabric and a couple of ribbons. One has the date March 12th, 1898 Sat written on it. We can only speculate on the signifigance of any of these items.
