A spectrum of Betelgeuse obtained with the Middlebury College Observatory fiber-fed stellar spectrograph. The spectrum is centered near 630 nm and covers approx. 100 nm.

Two spectra of the Sun obtained with Middlebury College's 1-m spectrometer. The spectra cover roughly 1 nm and are centered near 630 nm (wavelength increases to the right). The upper half was made at the west limb, the lower half at the east. The Doppler shift of the solar lines, due to solar rotation, is evident.
