Smell for me has always been…hidden.
It’s been behind a screen, a blind, an impassable doorway.
I can sense the very basics, the smell of oranges and sewer gas, and body odor and gasoline.
But the hint of lime on food, the mild aroma of perfume on skin, is lost.
Often though, people remark on how bad something smells. ButI laugh and walk by without notice.
They say that smell is connected to taste.
That we can’t taste without smell
They say that smell is the sense most tied to memory
What we smell connects to that sad moment, that happy moment.
Smell then is the hunger, the lust, the lost sense of this world.
So,what does your world smell like?
