MVAA News (March 2009)
Plans for the new building are moving forward. Based on planning projections, construction is tentatively scheduled to begin sometime in May. A capital campaign is in the organizational process and phase I of the campaign will begin in just a few months.
Subscription notices will be out soon. You can save a lot of money should you need 911 service with a low cost subscription to MVAA.
New members: Tim Fields (EMT-B) and Matt George (EMT-P). Amelia Noble, Matt Labunka, Braden Rosenberg, and Tim Fields all have completed training and promoted to full attendants.
MVAA provided CPR training to the MFD, the staff of the ice rink in town, and continues with monthly training at Helen Porter Nursing Home.
We are preparing for another great summer in the park. We will once again be providing hot dogs, sodas, candy and ice cream treat during the summer concert in the park festivities this summer. Look for the ambulance and have a treat!
A few of our members recently became certified in AMLS (advanced medical life support) in an effort to continue to provide the highest level of care to our patients.
Several of our members will be attending the EMS conference in Burlington this March to gain more knowledge and keep up with the latest information.
We have 3 members, Donnie Sweet, Sanjay Wunnava, and Shyla Clark are currently in the EMT-B class in Bristol and, Jack Beatty is in the EMT-I course in Rutland.
