| Killed by Jayhawkers in 1864 while protecting his land. He was a very extensive planter and stock raiser, and before the war he owned no less than seventy-five slaves. He was, at the time of his death, sixty-six years of age. The mother of our subject died in 1858, when about fifty-four years of age. Both were members of the M. E.Church, South. | ||||||||||
