Welcome to the International Student’s Organization (ISO) at Middlebury College. We are the largest student-run organization at Middlebury College comprising of over 200 international students and American students who have an interest in international affairs. Over the years, the College has been privileged to have an increasing number of students from all corners of the world, who bring such an immensely rich culture, not only to our warm and incredibly active campus, but also to the wider Middlebury community. The organization’s presence has promoted an increased interest in international affairs within the college through activities like the week long symposiums on issues affecting our world today, the celebration of life and diverse cultures during the Annual ISO Cultural Show, and various sporting events that bring countries together, at the height of which is the popular ISO soccer World Cup.
We want our presence to be felt wholly in the campus, not only culturally, but also academically and socially. We hope that the beauty of diversity can be seen beyond our campus grounds, and our different backgrounds can have greater contributions in academic discussions, in debates on campus and in many more ways. ISO works with the International Students Scholars Services Office (ISSS) to facilitate the smooth transition of life in the US for international students. We try to create a home away from home. As much as we share our backgrounds, we also want to open up opportunities to experience the American culture, more so within the state of Vermont that is endowed with a vast beauty of its natural surroundings.
We are more than thrilled to be bringing the world to Middlebury. Do join us! Keep an eye out for our upcoming events too!
On behalf of the ISO board and its members, WELCOME! Let us make this an even better year for ISO.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or suggestions for future events.
