Tikun Olam...

For the past three years, Hillel has participated in an alternative spring break trip to do volunteer work in impoverished areas. Reflecting the
Jewish tradition of Tikun Olam (Healing the World), these trips combine Jewish text study, cultural immersion, and physical hard work.  Working with the American Jewish World Service, our past trips have gone to Honduras and El Salvador, where we studied sustainable development practices in rural regions.  This year, Hillel will be working in Biloxi, Mississippi with National Hillel to help rebuild the Gulf Coast.
