What is inter-faith life like on campus?
There are many faith based organizations on campus which draw a large number of students to them and between these organizations there are many friendships and casual collaborations. But in addition to these alliances, Middlebury also has a formalized group that works to promote interfaith dialogue and cooperation which is called the Religious Life Council. Each religious organization sends board members and other interested students to the monthly meetings held in the Chaplain’s Office. At these meetings, each group explains their upcoming programming and then all students works together to facilitate inter-group activities. Last year, the Religious Life Council was responsible for organizing the now-annual Religious Life Awareness Week which features open and informative services and programming from every participating religious organization.
