What is a typical Friday night like at Hillel?
Shabbat services start at 5:30 every Friday night and are followed by a home cooked, kosher Shabbat dinner at 6:30. The services are often student led, and the dinners are cooked by volunteers each week. Honestly, at the end of a stressful Middlebury week, Shabbat at Hillel is the perfect way to unwind and relax. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming to all students, and the meals are a nice break from dining hall food.
