The primary focus of the 2007-2008 school year for Midd Dems is going to be Middlebury Students. Seizing upon this year's campus theme of student activism and committment to broader issues, Midd Dems intends to provide resources for students to become informed and directly involved in the political process. At our next meeting, we will focus on Bill Richardson as well as plan future information sessions, movie nights, speakers, work with other groups and trips to the key primary State of New Hampshire and tell us what you want to see out of Middlebury Democrats.

There are less than 400 days until the 2008 election, and campaigns, national and local, are in full swing. With Bush's two terms coming to a close, Democrats are poised with a full line-up of stellar candidates to take over the White House. Throughout the year, Midd Dems will be holding information sessions on all of the Democratic candidates for president as well as the hot-button issues to make sure the Middlebury students know which candidate they support and where they stand on the important issues.
