Good MorningVermont

Good morning, Vermont is a program of Russian Language Instruction for high school students across the state of Vermont. Using the Vermont Interactive Television Network thirty students from eight high schools across the state gather in six television studios every weekday morning at 7:00 AM for an hour of interactive Russian. Since VIT permits voice activated video-conferencing students and instructor are engaged in truly interactive language class.

Students listen to Russian music, watch video clips on Russia and use other authentic reading, writing and listening materials along with spending the majority of class engaged in conversation with the instructor and each other. The primary class materials come from Russian Now! a learning package adapted and translated by Prof. Beyer.

The class is taught by professor Thomas Beyer of Middlebury College.
