THIRD GENERATION

4. Ira Asa BURNS was born on 7 Aug 1863 in Richmond, Chittendon County, Vermont . He lived most of his young life in Vermont, and moved to Massachusetts as an adult. He worked as a brake man for the Boston & Maine Railroad, a carpenter and a wrestling manager before retirement. He married Daisy Gertrude WILLIS on 15 Dec 1919 in Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts and they had no children of their own. He did, however, adopt Daisy's two children by a previous marriage .He and Daisy lived in Winchendon, Massachusetts for 18 years before his death on 4 Dec 1946. Ira is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery - Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire.

5. Daisy Gertrude WILLIS was born on 29 Jun 1897 in Rutland, Worcester County, Massachusetts. Daisy was married first to Albert James Taylor on 2 April 1917. He died on 16 Oct 1918 and is the natural father of the two children listed below. Daisy was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked as a private nurse in Winchendon, Massachusetts after Ira's detath and prior to her retirement. She died on 17 Mar 1973 in Winchendon, Worcester County, Massachusetts and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery -Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire.

2 i. William Albert BURNS.
ii. Dorothy BURNS was born on 8 May 1917 in Rutland, Worcester County, Massachusetts. She was adopted on 10 Nov 1921 in Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts by Ira Burns - her natural father was Albert James Taylor. She married John H CHASE and had they had 9 children. She died on 25 Mar 1967 in Keene, Cheshire County, New Hampshire and is buried in theEvergreen Cemetery, Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire.
