He was adopted on 10 Nov 1921 in Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts by his mother's second husband, Ira Asa BURNS, who's family history is included here. His natural father's name was Albert James Taylor. Please contact the originator of this web-site for further information on the Taylor line. William served in the Army during WWII, enlisting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1942. In 1946 he moved back to New England and married Leone Dot WALKER on 1 Oct, 1947 in Fitzwilliam, Cheshire County, New Hampshire. He and Leone made their home in Rindge, Cheshire County, New Hampshire from 1949 until his death on 31 Dec, 1989 (in Peterborough, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire). 3. Leone Dot WALKER was born on 25 Aug 1917 in Pelican Township, Oneida, Wisconsin. She spent her childhood in northern Wisconsin with her maternal grandparents - she was raised by them after the death of her mother. In her 20's she moved, with them, to the Green Bay, Wisconsin area, where she met William. Just after William's death she made her home with one of her daughters, and then several years later lived with her oldest daughter until her last illness. She died on 12 Sep 1997 in Peterborough, Hillsborough, New Hampshire. Leone was a quiet, gentle person who cared for her loved ones without thought for herself. She was an avid reader, wrote poetry and loved gardening. (click here to read some of her poetry)

They had 6 children, of which only one is listed here - in the interest of privacy for the others:
