- Educational/Outreach
- The Education/Outreach Subcommittee continues the Environmental Council's mission of educating the College community about environmental concerns. Projects include informational table tents in the dining halls, posters, speakers, the Environmental Liaison program, Earth Week events, and the Environmental Fair.

- Campus Circulation and Parking
- The Campus Circulation and Parking subcommittee is working to discuss and formulate recommendations about reforming Middlebury's traffic and parking systems. The subcommittee will host an open forum meeting to discuss these problems with the College community, and use the information gathered there to develop recommendations.

- Conservation/Efficiency
- The Conservation/Efficiency Subcommittee continues the Environmental Council's mission to assist the College in the conservation of resources. Much of the work is to educate the College community about energy conservation methods, but research is also being conducted in physical changes to the campus that will reduce our consumption.

- Planning and Development
- The Planning and Development Subcommittee works to gather public opinion and formulate recommendations to the administration. The College is working on projects related to the proposed expansion as well as ongoing facilities improvements, and the Environmental Council plays an advisory role in these developments.

- The Status Review Subcommittee is working to review the implementaion process of major recommendations adopted by the College to determine what areas we have sucessfully improved, what still needs work, and what our priorities should be.
