The College constructed a wind turbine in August 2005! It's located adjacent to the Recycling Center on Rt. 125. The system consists of a Bergey Excel-S 10 Kw wind turbine installed on an 80’ NRG Systems tilt-up tube tower. Power output from the wind turbine is processed by a Bergey GridTek 10 inverter which is grid-connected. Wind resource measurement utilizes an NRG Systems anemometer and wind vane, as well as a NRG Systems Symphonie internet-enabled data logger.
